5 Months

crazy hair
first haircut

sitting up

  • weight 14 1/2 pounds
  • first trip to the ER- Brityn was sick and gave it to him. I thought it was just a cold until Saturday night and he was up all night screaming, crying, and coughing. So, I took him into the ER and he had RSV. Luckily it was mild, they sent us home. I was told to just keep him on Tylenol and Motrin for fever and fussiness. I took him into our pediatrician on Tuesday and she was surprised that they hadn't told us to do breathing treatments... especially considering we already have the nebulizer. His oxygen levels were lower on Tuesday so I started giving him breathing treatments and of course it helped his cough a lot. He is getting better finally.
  • eating-
          cereal :D
        peas :D
        green beans :)
        bananas :(
        sweet potatoes :)
        carrots :l
        applesauce :l

  • can sit up for a short time before toppling over
  • still not sleeping through the night- in fact it has been horrible since he has been sick. I'm lucky to get a 3 hour stretch. The worst part is I'm back full time at work as of the beginning of the month (***yawn***).
  • got his first haircut last night, which I guess technically should go in his 6 month post, but I will forget about it by then. His hair was ridiculous- mullet in the back, peacock tail in the front.
  • still loves his sister
  • loving his daddy more and more- loves the faces and noises and he makes at him. You can tell he's trying to mimic him already, it's pretty cute.
  • I'm pretty sure he is going to have brown eyes. I always hoped one of my kids would get my green eyes or at the very least hazel...
Happy 5 month Birthday my little man! We love you so so much!
