Glacier- August 2012

Relaxing at camp

Lake McDonald at sunset

Cold mornings

Have you guys seen the Piggy back Rider? That is what Brityn is on. It works great! My only complaint, and it doesn't seem to bother Brent or Brityn so it's possible it's my slight OCD, is that one side of the bar always seems higher/lower than the other. Sometimes extremely so. Anyway, it worked out great. Brent was able to carry both kids at the same time if Brityn needed a break from walking. Leaving me to carry a backpack which is so much easier, not to mention lighter than a kid!  We got so many comments and questions about it.

Swift Current Lake
Little hiker

I was really struggling with my camera settings during the trip. I have some things set up weird. I need to sit down and fix it :/

Avalanche Lake hike- best of the blurry pictures. We loved this hike. The lake was amazing and best of all the hike was easy.

We could have reached out and touched these guys

Avalanche Lake

Wish this picture had turned out better. I had to do some creative editing to make it look decent. They are so sweet together... most of the time.

I don't even remember where I took this picture. Maybe Heather recognizes it...? I think it might be Lake McDonald on the Rocky Point Trail.

Black bear going to Many Glacier

Grizzly cub on the the pass. I assume mama was down below but I wasn't getting out to check. I could have had an awesome picture of the entire bear but I had my camera put away, by the time I got it out this is what I was left with.

I can't believe they call it a lake. It's a small pond. We walked past it not even realizing it was the lake. It was still a nice hike though even if it was the most poorly marked trail in the park, probably.

Waiting for the boat ride at Lake McDonald Lodge.

On the boat

We are already making plans to go back next year. We can't wait!
