Is it really March already? Is Ryder really three months old? Time needs to sloooow down. I feel like I'm going to turn around and Ryder is going to be 3 years old.
What Ryder is doing at 3 months:
- Laughing, a little bit. Not big belly laughs or anything just little giggles, and mainly at Daddy. He laughs in his sleep all the time, he's done it since he was about a month old. It is rather strange, but Brent laughs in his sleep occasionally so it must be inherited :)
- Rolling over, which is good considering he is not a big fan of tummy time. He rolled over for the first time last Wednesday and now that he did it once he won't stay on his tummy for more than five minutes before rolling himself over.
- Loving his hands, apparently they taste very yummy.
- Wearing size 2 diapers.
- Still wearing mainly 3-6 month clothing but some of those are getting too small already.
- Weighs 12 1/2 lbs according to our scale at home.
- Starting to drool quite a bit.
- Liking his sister a little more, he actually smiles at her now rather than having a look of fright whenever she comes near.
- Still sleeping about 5-6 hour stretches with a 7-8 thrown in very sporadically.
- Eating every 3 hours, about 5 ounces I would say, based on what I pump at work.
- Squealing
- Sitting up assisted. He will spend 5-10 minutes sitting in the bumbo and his his jumparoo. Don't be too surprised to see pictures of him sitting in a pink bumbo. I'm not buying another one in a boy color!
- He is a swaddled baby. I think it helps him sleep longer. Last night he pulled a Hoodini and got both arms out. I'm not sure how, since it's a tight velcroed swaddler. I don't know if he likes it or not, and frankly I don't care as long as he sleeps ;)
- He is still sleeping in our bedroom. I'm nervous about moving him into Brityn's room, I will probably prolong it as long as I can. I don't see it being a problem for him so much as Brityn. We had to move him out of the bassinet and into a pack-n-play since he's getting so big.
I tried my own three month photo shoot with Ryder. With Brityn I had professional pictures taken every three months for the first year. I don't have the time and I really didn't feel like spending a couple hundred dollars on pictures, considering I still haven't even ordered prints from his newborn portraits! I think they turned out okay, with a little editing help from Picnik. By the time I got to the yellow and black striped hat he was ready to be done so I didn't get very many of those.

WOW, I can't believe you took those pictures yourself! I just assumed they were professional till I got to the last paragraph.
