8 Months

I sound like broken record but it kills me how fast time passes when you have a baby. We are approaching Ryder's first birthday way too fast for my liking. I wish I could keep him a baby forever.

At 8 months Ryder is:

• pulling himself to a stand (7/23)
• still not crawling but getting closer
• finally rolling front to back and back to front (guess when you don't spend much time laying down you don't need to learn that particular skill) 
• still nursing every 3 hours, I think (or hope) he's ready to move to at least a 3 1/2 hour schedule. Maybe even a 4 hour schedule. 
• still not sleeping through the night, he's not waking to eat (for the most part), I'm not sure what the problem is... bad habits (his and mine), teething (? no teeth yet!), cold, noise...?
• eating everything he sees
• wearing a size 3 diaper
• wearing 9 month clothes
• weighs around 18 pounds, according to our scale
• tries to sit himself up from a laying down position
• an expert at taking out and putting his binky in his mouth, will even find one in the middle of the night (I keep a few in a pile in his crib) and pop it in. This makes my life a little easier.
• needing another haircut
