What Ryder is doing at 12 months-

• took his first steps on November11. He will take a few here and there but doesn't seem very interested in walking. Which is fine with me. He's into everything and once he's completely mobile I don't know how I'm going to keep up with him!
• has one more tooth coming in, that makes a total of two teeth
• stranger anxiety is at a high
• grunts, growls, and talks a lot of gibberish but only says mama and dada
• starting to get a little more fussy about food choices. Even if it's something he likes he will usually spit out the first bite. Stinker.
• I finally got him on a four hour eating schedule. This weekend I'm going to drop his mid morning feed. I gave him some whole milk a few days ago and he liked it so I don't think transitioning him is going to be too hard.
• wearing size 3 diaper, 9-12 month and 12-18 month clothes. Most of the 9 month clothes are too short but the 12 month ones are a little big... there is no happy medium.
• still in his infant car seat. I don't want to move him to a convertible quite yet. He sleeps so well in his car seat still, he naps in it a lot. I'm going to try to keep him rear facing as long as I can but it's getting to the point I'm having trouble carrying him around in it. He only has one inch to grow before he should be out of it by the manufacturers guidelines.
• weight is 19 pounds 10% to 25% depending on who you ask.
• height is 29" 25% to 50% again depending
• head is in the 75%, he's a bobble head
• still waking at least once during the night
