Merry Christmas

Thursday before Christmas we had Brityn's preschool Christmas program. Since she has major stage fright I had been psyching her her up for it days in advance. Once we got to the church she wasn't sure about going onstage so I told her she should go play with her little friend and sit next to her during the performance. I gave one of her teachers the heads up and I went back to our seats. About 10 minutes later her other teacher brought her up crying hysterically. I'm still not entirely sure what happened but she was very upset because her friend said she didn't want to be friends anymore. I really don't think that is the whole story. The little girls older cousin also goes to preschool there and they were going to walk together. I think Brityn was feeling left out and the other teacher wasn't aware of the situation to diffuse it by letting them all walk together. So, needless to say Brityn never got up and sang. Hopefully next year she will be a little more confident.

Christmas Eve with Papa and Grandma Carol. Santa came early to their house. Ryder got a slide, and I pretty sure he is going to find a way to kill himself on it.

Brityn got a Smartcycle. She better get used to sharing because Ryder loves the thing. But her most exciting gift was a box of unicorn band-aids in her stocking.

Ooh, I love my sisters motorcycle!

So pooped after early presents they both passed out in the car at 6:00 while driving around looking at Christmas lights. Brityn hasn't fell asleep in the car in about 2 years!

We let Brityn open one present at home on Christmas Eve. It was from Ryder. She was convinced it was a Pinkalicious doll. I put a Foofa snuggly in the box on top of the doll. If you click on the picture and make it bigger you can see the disappointment on her face when she thought she hadn't gotten Pinkalicious. And then was still mad because I had taken it out of the box and she didn't think it was the one she had seen. That kid, I tell ya. She's not spoiled at all :/
We had to get a picture with all her pink stuff.

Ryder loved the truck Santa brought and the tool set from us.

Opening more presents and Papa and Grandma Carol's

Ashlynn and the rest of the kids opening up gifts.

We had 19 people there for Christmas dinner. I cooked, with lots of help from Carol and the use of their house. There was no way we were all fitting in our house! It was a great day.
