So much...

First of all I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We absolutely did, how could we not with this little munchkin in our lives?Thanks Levi and Becky :)

This is about the best picture I got of Brityn in her Christmas dress. Pretty sad I know, but things were pretty hectic.

We really had a wonderful Christmas. Even though Brityn is still too young to really understand what is going on I think she had a fun day. When Brent and I first brought her into the living room and she spotted her Santa presents she started waiving her arms in the air and breathing really fast. It was very cute. I wish I had gotten it on video but I didn't. I think it was pretty overwhelming for her with all the presents so if I had it to do over I would spread out her present opening throughout the day.

I cooked a bunch of appetizers, with help from my mom. Grandma Carol, Papa, Great Grandma Martha, James, Valeda (James' girlfriend), and her mom came over and spent some time with us. After that we went to visit Grandma Rachel and the to Grandma and Papa's to open more presents.

I can't believe the things Brityn is learning and how smart she is getting. She got a Dora doll that has a peppermint smell so I told her to smell it and she did...inhaled deeply and took a whiff and kept doing it over and over. How does she know what "smell" means?!

Some other things she learned how to do on Christmas day....


Christmas night at Grandma and Papa's house she just started walking. Stood up on her own and walked. So far the most steps she has taken at one time is five. The video is the best I could get. Every time the camera came out she got stage fright and sat down.

The second video is what Daddy taught her to do Christmas morning. The climbing up onto the couch part at least. She has been able to get off by herself for quite a while. Normally it isn't quite as precarious as the video. She had me a little scared if you couldn't tell.
